i’m with you on “just look up the painting on the internet and tell your friends ‘that. i saw that.’” and of course, YES TOM WAITS YES I SAID YES.
urgfhg I know. Like, people can do their tour however they like, but it really takes away from my experience when I have trouble seeing the paintings. Even Mona Lisa, which is always surrounded by people taking photos of it, you can’t stand there and look at the painting because all these people are pushing and shoving to take a picture, and it’s like, what is even the point of hanging a painting up in a gallery when you can’t take the time to look at it? Normally I’m not anti-technology, but you don’t need a camera at a fucking gallery.
